MACK #103: The Phenomenon

Hi again everyone! Today’s podcast is all about the documentary “The Phenomenon.”

From wikipedia:

The Phenomenon is a 2020 documentary film by ufologist James Fox. It is Fox’s third film on the subject, the first two being I Know What I Saw (2009) and Out of the Blue (2003). The film is narrated by veteran PBS narrator Peter Coyote.

The film features interviews with Former Senate Majority leader Harry Reid, Clinton White House chief of staff John Podesta, former Deputy Undersecretary for Defense Intelligence Christopher Mellon, former New Mexico Governor Bill Richardson, ufologist Jacques Vallee, and journalist Leslie Kean. In the film, Reid is asked about other evidence and replies “I’m saying most of it hasn’t seen the light of day.”

If you didn’t know, this is right up my alley. I have never met a conspiracy I wouldn’t entertain — at least for a little while.

I first watched this by myself and was blown away by the overwhelming evidence this doc presents. UFOs have been visiting our little planet for a very long time it seems. So, after I watched The Phenomenon — I have to admit — I was pretty freaked out.

That’s when I insisted Dave watch it too. If you have not seen it, I highly recommend you do! It is well put together and very informative. It is available on the DiscoveryPlus subscription service, and quite a few other places. I’ve also linked it down below in case you want to watch it rtfn, which you totally should.

Part One

Part Two

After watching The Phenomenon I dug a little deeper and found myself watching this entire 2001 National Press Club Event on the same subject. It’s hosted by Dr. Greer and after a bit of a lengthy intro, twenty-one credible eye-witnesses come to the podium to briefly give a run down of their experiences with UFOs. It is a fascinating watch.

Anywhooo, all of this to me is pretty definitive stuff, but of course I have questions. Why is the government hiding this from the public? Is the truth so horrific that they feel it will affect our ability to maintain a sense of normalcy in our daily lives? Perhaps.

Dave tries not to be skeptical, but he admits that until a flying saucer lands right in front of him he will always have his doubts. This, of course drives me nuts.

For me this evidence (along with the 2001 conference) is overwhelming. But what’s next? I’d love to know what you think!

As always, thanks for listening to the show! If you’d like to go down more conspiratorial rabbit holes with us, check out our conspiracy-based episodes!

XOXO
